Calle Ancha

Historic street·Old Town

A grand 19th-century street

About Calle Ancha

Calle Ancha grew up in the 16th century, when Marbella spread north beyond its walls towards the Santo Cristo chapel and the Franciscan convent. It starts at Plaza del Puente de Ronda, once one of the three gates of the walled town, and became one of the town’s señorial streets in the 19th century. Today it is lined with restored houses, small hotels and restaurants. Walk it from bottom to top and finish at Plaza Santo Cristo.
