Spain’s newest kind of wild

About Sierra de las Nieves National Park
The Sierra de las Nieves rises behind Marbella, east of the road to Ronda, and became a national park when the law creating it received royal assent on 1 July 2021. Its complex geology produces a striking variety of landscapes and ecosystems, from high limestone peaks to deep valleys and forests. Villages such as Tolox, Yunquera and Istán are the gateways. Treat it as a full day out with walking boots, water and a picnic.
