About The castle and Moorish walls

Sections of the walls and towers of the Moorish castle that once protected Marbella survive on the eastern edge of the Old Town, around Calle Trinidad. The fortress is usually dated to the Moorish period, around the 10th century. It takes only a few minutes, and helps you picture the walled town that the Catholic Monarchs took in 1485.
